1964 Cooper Monaco
CM/3/64

Picture
Six type-61 Cooper Monacos were built in 1964 and sold to the USA. Four went to Shelby American and were powered by the Ford 289 V-8 and called the King Cobra. One went to John Mecum. This car, CM/3/64, went to Jack Brewer in Upstate N.Y. and was raced with a fuel-injected 327 CID Chevrolet V-8 and BMC Huffaker transaxle. This car is all original, including its original aluminum body, chassis, BMC Huffaker transaxle, Hilborne fuel injection and period-correct motor. It had success in SCCA and USRRC competition, which is well documented by period photographs, magazine articles and race reports. All owners are known from new, supported by bills of sale and correspondence. Fresh comprehensive race prep just completed. Spare engine and body work included with car.
