Ron Gallo of Bailey Cars North America, the agent for the famous Bailey Cars of South Africa, meets with Tony Martin, a South African Car builder, owner of Backdraft a top rated Florida Replica Company, to discuss working on joint projects.
While it is true that Peter Bailey is a top car fabricator, he does own the originals. Peter’s love of these originals has inspired him to create the spectacular championship racing re-creations.Once again, he has had the great opportunity to own a special car to enjoy and absorb its race qualities. Peter recently acquired this rare jewel, Ferrari Formula 1 # 28 driven by Jean Alesi. 1991/1992 season.
Pictured on the right is Peter Bailey with the driver’s sponsor. Driving the car on that day at Zwartkops, was Jackie Schecter, nephew of Jody Schecter, past World Champion for Ferrari . As his North American Distributor, I am hoping Peter decides to send it to the States!
Hope to see you all at the races this 2014 season. -Ron Gallo
In my numerous conversations with him it is clear that he could not be happier, as am I and the rest of the B.C.N.A. team. More importantly, Peter Bailey is delighted to welcome David into the fold.
My advice to him is to smile for the camera as the throngs of people will be taking his picture when he drives this unique beast around the streets.
I am ecstatic to hear that Dave is interested in stepping up the horse power and possibly competing in the future races that we are currently working on in conjunction with Ted Wenz of Savannah Race Engineering, along with with various clubs and tracks.
Ferrari Engine
Bailey Cars North America is thrilled to announce a new working relationship with renowned engine builder Ted Wenz of Savannah Engineering.
Bailey Cars North America will be delivering a very special re-creation of a Ferrari P 3/4 to an established collector. The purchaser of this vehicle requested a big, old school Ferrari V-12 Engine with as much horsepower as could be produced.
The buyer suggested we use Ted, and after exhaustive research I came to the conclusion that the customer was 100% correct. I had several enjoyable conversations with Ted and it was clear to me that he and his guys have the necessary talent for the job. Ted said to me: “I look forward to building this motor for Bailey Cars and many more in the future.” I was pleased to hear his enthusiasm for working with Bailey USA and look forward to many screaming engines from his shop. Ted is installing monster high lift cams supplied by Web Camshaft, valves by Ferrea Racing, and 48mm Weber’s supplied by Pierce Manifolds, this will enable this beast to dump serious fuel into its high compression chambers.
A photo of this car sits on the wall of Peter Bailey’s (owner of Bailey Cars South Africa,) office “This Car was one of the most detailed re-creations that the Bailey Factory has ever undertaken,” said Mr. Bailey, “every detail was taken into consideration, we even made the paint to match the famous Race Driver’s well known color.” I know Peter was very proud of this work and pleased to see it head to the USA.
Final assembly is being done in Fort Lauderdale, FL. by South African native, Jovan Katic. I have been speaking with Jovan over the past year, and there is no doubt that he can get the job done, and after visiting with Jo, the purchaser agrees.
I am confident that this striking Bailey beauty will make a serious impact in the US market, and establish to the car enthusiasts of America how serious the Bailey products truly are.

Walk Around Tour of the Bailey P4 with Ferrari V12.
On a recent trip to Texas, Ron of Bailey Cars North America stopped by the facility where the Norwood P-4's are built, in order for Tim Taylor and Bob Norwood to examine Bailey's craftsmanship. Their fabrication shop is fantastic.
"I was looking forward to meeting the legendary Bob Norwood and his chief fabricator Tim Taylor. I was very pleased to meet them and to hear their compliments of the Bailey build. I look forward to working with them in the future." -Ron Gallo BCNA
